Sixth District I.T Committee Meeting

6th IT Meeting Minutes

6th IT Meeting were held at District Nazim Office Uthal dated 14/12/2004 under the supervision of District Nazim Mr. Jam Kamal khan. Meeting started with the recitation of Holy Quran. Majority of the IT Members attended this meeting. The given below agendas were discussed in this meeting.

  1. IT Seminar.School IT Syllabus.
  2. Computer Fund Utilization.

IT Seminar

During this meeting many decisions were taken about IT Seminar. The details are forwarded to all IT Members.

School IT Syllabus

IT Syllabus presentation presented by Mr. Raheem Askani Member IT Committee. Syllabus was designed according to current market jobs requirement. After the completion of this Syllabus student will be able to get a computer related job in the current market easily.
Some good suggestions came from IT Members. The suggestions are given below.

1. IT Syllabus Time duration is very short. Time duration should be increased.
2. IT Syllabus some courses are advanced level according to Students level.
3. IT Syllabus should be according to IT Teacher’s skills.
4. IT Syllabus should be matched to the IT Syllabus of Balochistan Board.
5. This Syllabus will be very beneficial for the Evening classes students.

At the end it was decided that EDO Education (Mr. Manzoor Hussain) would bring the Balochistan Board IT Syllabus for the comparison with this Syllabus. After that a new Syllabus should design according to Board IT Syllabus for the School Students.

Computer Fund Utilization

In 6th IT Meeting it was decided that computers fund should be utilized according to the given points.

School Time Fund

  1. School Time computer fees should collect in Head Master/Mistress Account in IT Aid.School Time computer fees can use only for IT purpose by IT Lab Incharge with the coordination of Head Master/Mistress.
  2. Computer fund documents should be well maintained by IT Lab Incharge for any Audit by District IT Committee.

Evening Time Fund

  1. Evening time 30% fund should be submitted in A4 account of the District Government. For evening IT classes an agreement should be signed between IT Teachers & School authority with all terms & condition defined by District IT Committee.
  2. Evening time IT teacher is bound to complete the evening IT classes as per schedule before leaving the IT Centre.

It is requested to all concerned people; kindly follow the above-mentioned points accordingly.

Current Technical Problems of the IT Centers & their Solutions

A presentation presented by Mr. Amanullah Baloch Technical Coordinator about current problems faced by IT Centers & their possible solution.

The current problems & their Possible solutions are given below.

Current Problems

1. New provided Pc’s are Mostly Faulty
2. Frequently Operating System fault.
3. Electrical Voltage Fluctuation.

Solution

  1. New Pc’s should be repaired/ replaced collectively.To provide Comprehensive Installation & Maintenance Training for OS to All IT Centers Lab. Incharge.
  2. To provide 7000 KVA UPS Stabilizers to All IT Centers.

At the end of the 6th IT Meeting, Respectable District Nazim Thanks to all participant of the meeting for attending this Meeting. He assured to all IT Centre Heads & Lab Incharge that District Govt. would provide 5 more computers to each IT Centre. So, they can easily manage the IT Classes according to their strength of students. He appreciated the efforts of all IT Members for the development of IT in District Lasbela.



3rd District IT Committee Meeting


3rd Meeting of District IT Committee held at LIEDA Conference Hall dated 14th May 2004, under the supervision of Syed Zahoor-ul-Hassan Member District IT Committee & EDO (P & F), Lasbela. Decided Agendas were discussed in the meeting, many ideas pertaining during discussion. Members have given their comments and future plans for the development of IT Literacy in the District Lasbela.

The participants are Mr. Syed Zahoor-ul-Hassan (Acting Chairman for 3rd IT Meeting), Mr. Abdul Basit Askani Member District IT Committee, Mr. Rahim Askani Member District IT Committee, Amanullah Baloch Member District IT Committee, Pervaiz Tahir Principal BAF School Uthal, Nefees Ahmed Computer Instructor Govt. Model H/ S Uthal, Muhammad Aslam Baloch Computer Instructor Govt. H/S Winder, and Zahid Iqbal Computer Instructor Govt. Model H/S Uthal.

During discussions various comments came from members that there should be a comprehensive Administration Setup, to play a vital role in the IT Literacy and Educational policy. Mr. Rahim Askani designed a syllabus for the teachers of IT Centre, to improve the teaching skill of computer instructors. In summer vacation there should be introduced some new and fresh courses for the enhancement of IT Skill for the current students were discussed.

Mr. Pervaiz Tahir announced that he will give 200 Computer Books (Oxford Published) for per level. The members of IT Committee appreciated his cooperation for the development of IT Literacy. Mr. Amanullah Baloch insisted that the English Language Centers should be opened in the various IT Centers. As he observed that the majority of students are facing English Language problems during “Online Exam”, which has been tested in IT Centre Hub.

Mr. Zahid Iqbal suggested that there should be some stocks of computer accessories in the Computer Lab because during computer classes various components found faulty, which effects the practical classes.

Logo & Slogan has been finalized in the 3rd IT meeting; finally two slogans were agreed by members “TO SERVE YOUR BRIGHT FUTURE” and “CAPTURE THE MODERN WORLD”.

In the end of the IT meeting all members decided that there should be an IT Seminar arranged at the end of this month. Achievement certificates should be given to the position holder students; it’s a motivation for students seeking admission. The date of IT Seminar will be announced.

Acting Chairman Mr. Zahoor-ul-Hassan appreciated the interest of the members and thanked them for giving their precious time for the IT Meeting.


Second District I.T. Committee Meeting

The second meeting of District I.T committee was held at LIEDA Office dated 19th January 2004. This meeting was presided over by the supervisor of I.T. committee and District Nazim Lasbela Jam Mir Kamal Khan Alliani. In this meeting, the development of Information Technology and computer education of students, teachers and office staffs was discussed.

The meeting was attended by Zafarullah Baloch DCO Lasbela, Manzoor Hussain EDO (Education) Lasbela, Akram Ali Khowaja EDO (Revenue) Lasbela, Ehtisham Malik Incharge Development Section Lasbela, Anwar-ul-Haq Executive Officer Planning and Development Labela, Abdul Rahim Askani (Software Engineer), Abdul Basit Askani (Software Engineer), Sher Muhammad MCS (Lecturer Urdu) Govt. Degree College Bela, Aman Ullah Member of District I.T Committee Lasbela, Shah Nawaz (Master Trainer of Intel Course), Nafees Ahmed (Intel Trainee), Muhammad Riaz (Intel Trainee), Ishrat Principal Infomax Institute Hub. Ehsan-ul-Haq (Intel Trainee), Zafar-ul-Hassan Head Master Govt. H/S Winder and Salahuddin Haider (Intel Trainee).

Addressing the meeting, District Nazim said that their purpose is to develop the skill of our forthcoming generation. He furthermore said we are providing more computers in different Govt. departments and schools for the IT and computer literacy of Lasbela and also arranging computer informative courses to increase their interest in new technology.

The participants suggested the name of computer education program which was then finalized by District Nazim.


First District I.T Committee Meeting

The First meeting of I.T. committee was held at District Nazim Office in Uthal on 4th November 2003. This meeting was presided over by the supervisor of I.T. committee and District Nazim Lasbela Jam Mir Kamal Khan. In this meeting, the development of Information Technology and computer education of students was discussed.

Addressing the meeting, District Nazim said that their purpose was to compete with the challenges of the modern era, so that the builders of their future could benefit from this contemporary knowledge and play their role in the progress of the nation. Seeing this challenge and the need of information technology, he came with the plan to introduce computer literacy among the female and male students of schools. So that, the students of district Lasbela would not feel alienated in the coming times of information technology.

Furthermore, he said that now time has come that we all must interact to propagate this modern education throughout District Lasbela, so that we can flourish like nobody’s business. The meeting was attended by Manzoor Hussain E.D.O (Education) Lasbela, Aman Ullah Member of District I.T Committee Lasbela, Shah Nawaz Computer Instructor, Nafees Ahmed Computer Instructor, Riaz Ahmed Computer Instructor and Zahid Iqbal Computer Instructor.

After giving 40 P4 computers among the boys and girls high schools in district Lasbela, views were taken from the participants about there progress. It was seen that, young generation has been attracted towards computer education and want to know about it. Students have shown keen interest and wait throughout the time for their computer classes. Seeing the initial stages, many issues came during the meeting, in which minor requirements and suggestion were floated by the participants. Which include,

Provision of A/C in Computer Lab
More Computer Tables & Stools for each Computer
Repair of existing computer labs
Table for Computer Instructor
Decoration of Computer Lab
Computer Informative Charts & Notice Board
Proper sealing of doors & windows to prevent dust
New Telephone Connection for Internet Classes
White Board & set of markers etc.

All the points were noted down by the district Nazim and he assured to purchase them as soon as possible from the budget allocation for education and information technology. Issues pertaining to syllabus, fees, mode of teaching and certification were touched and participants were asked to make their final suggestions for the next meeting.

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to all the participants.
