4 pm Visit to Gagoo band.
Gagoo protection bund was taken away by the recent floods, this was a Irrigation scheme which was under construction for the protection of the side villages. The breakage of this protection wall caused great damages to irrigation lands of Gundacha area. This is for the second time that Gagoo bund is broken.
6pm visit to Kishari
Kishari village is some 20 km ahead of Gagoo Band. Both Gagoo and Kishari have the same protection structures. However, minor damages were reported to Kishari protection bund, however destruction of irrigation lands was done to quite good extent.
7-30pm
Distribution of flood relief items among the flood effectives of Kathore village. UNESCO had provided goods to district Government for the relief purpose. People gathered near a local hotel and we distributed the items among those who were effected by the recent rains and floods. The items included, sweaters, tents, water cans, blankets, Tharpal and food items.

12:15 pm Visit to Narag protection bund
Narag bund is situated near Bela town and was broken by the Phorali water. This was breached for the third time in the last three years. Several times the Irrigation department has made it and again it breaks from the same point.
However, no collateral loss occurs because of its breaking up, but substantial amount of lands don’t get irrigated once Narag is broken.
12:30 pm
In recent floods, only one old person lost his life. That was accidental, in which he slipped while crossing a small flow of water and being unable to control he drowned.
In lasbela a great number of people have lost their standing wheat crop and majority of the lands have been flattened by the spreadsheet devastation of water. Due to the velocity of the coming water, their small plots have become plain and sandy.
Lakra union council is situated on west side of Uthal. Majority of the lands in this area are totally dependent on flood irrigation for lively hood. Most of the places in this area were not accessible due to the floods.
I, along with DCO Lasbela, XEN C&W, XEN Irrigation, Tehsildar Lakra and other officials made a visit to Lakra Union to view the ground situation after the floods.
Sadiq Goth Orki
Goth Sadiq is situated some 2 KM near the phorali river. The recent floods had not done major devastation in this area, but due to non availability of proper irrigation scheme, this area for the last many years have deprived of flood water. The flood water is the only source of irrigation for this whole union council. There are hardly few water engines over here.
Goth Rehmatullah Khaskheli
After Goth Sadiq, we paid a visit to Goth Rehmatullah. After entering the road from RCD towards the goth, we could witness the force of water which passed from here. Most of the irrigated lands were destroyed over here, damaging the protection walls of each farmers plot. This area is also wholly and solemnly dependent on annual or flood water for irrigation.
We had taken relief food items with us, which later was distributed among flood effectives.
Goth Kadoo Mooshani
Main Lakra town is situated some 30 KM from the main head quarter and goth Kadoo Mooshani is some 5 KM’s away from Lakrah.
There are three entries to this town,
Coastal high way which is nearly 25KM away,
From RCD its 30KM and
Goth Rehmatullah some 15KM.
Lakra town has not been hit by the floods, but the approach roads have been,
resulting washing away of the black top portions.
