CIVIC CENTER construction started in early 1994, but it was very unfortunate that after completion of 80% work the contractor stopped the work. Civic center’s case was called by the NAB as soon as the new government of General Pervaiz Musharaf took over.

There was no reason found why the contractor stopped the work for nearly three years, where as the NAB had only asked for the record. This was a public asset and its non functionality was a loss to the TMA and public too.
