BAF Schools

Introduction

The Balochistan Academic Foundation was registered on 14th February 1994 with the following members. (In alphabetical Order)
1. Mr. Abdullah Jan Ghichki.
2. Mr. Abdul Hakeem Baloch.
3. Mr. Abdul Khaliq Baloch.
4. Brig. Abdul Qadir Channel.
5. Mr. Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri.
6. Mr. Amanullah Ghichki.
7. Jam Mir Mohammed Yousaf.
The members elected Mr. Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri as the Chairman of the Foundation.

Target

The foundation had to target its activities for the promotion of exceptional educational skills, excellent character building of the students and promotion of Islamic Ideology among the students. Special emphasis would also be made for physical and mental development of the students. Keeping in view the above target three schools were initially planned and the work was started in different areas of the District Lasbela. The areas chosen for the schools were in Bela, Uthal and Hub.
The school at Bela was started in a building generously donated by Mr. Abdullah Jan Gichki.
The school at Uthal was started in the old Tehsil building and on the expensive piece of land donated generously by Jam Mir Mohammed Yousaf in the heart of the city.
The school in Hub was started by purchasing 50 acres of land just near Bhawani in Hub.
This was the start of the Balochistan Academic Foundation chain of schools which are imparting quality education to the children of this District.

Course

All the schools have been registered with the Education Department as High Level Schools . The schools have adopted the Oxford University Press Courses and are the only schools in the district giving pure English Medium Education.

Brief information of each school.

BAF Public School Uthal. (First in Pictures.)

This is located in the heart of the Uthal city which comprises of about four acres of land which was generously donated by Jam Mir Mohammed Yousaf.
The Foundation of the school was laid by the Kalat Commissioner Mr. Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri on 6th January 1994 and the school started its classes in the old Tehsil Stores which were turned into classrooms. Another new building with the Principal Office and four classrooms were started in 1994 to give an extension to the school.

In the 1997 Mr. Sabzal Khan Rind and Mr. Pervez Tahir and his wife were employed in the school as Principal and English teachers. After the enrollment of these gentlemen and lady the school took an astonishing turn to its destiny which is increasing to this day which would be remembered for times to come. Not only to mention these three alone , the school has on its record each and every Lady Teacher who has really helped a lot and has worked for the uplift of the school where it stands now. In 1997 the strength of the children in the school was 85 which has now risen to 275 by the grace of God. The results of the school in all classes in school examination remains 85% while in the Board Examination of 2003 the results of the school stood at 83%.
The Classrooms are airy, spacious and well furnished with fans and tube lights and desert coolers are also provided in the classrooms.

This school has the record to have computers in the school in the whole of the Lasbela District in 1998 with a Printer too with fifty desks which were generously donated by Lasmo Oil Drilling Company.

In 1998, the first floor building was constructed on the existing new block by the financial help of three reputed companies of Pakistan. There names are

1. The Habib Rafique Construction Company Lahore who gave two rooms for the school and five Desert Coolers for the Nursery Children which are still working perfectly.
2. The Dawood Yamaha Motorcycle Company gave another room for the the school.
3. The Mandviwala Plastic company gave another room`s material.

Thus four rooms were completed on the first floor of the existing new block. The whole construction was supervised by the Vice Principal Mr. Pervez Tahir .
Another room on the first floor was constructed by the Zila Council in 1999.
Also a Teacher`s Residence and three tiled bathrooms were added to the school block in the same year.
In the year 2002 the new District Government was launched by the President of Pakistan, the Chief Executive General Pervez Mussaraff. Jam Mir Kamal Khan Allaini took over the charge of the District Nazim of the Lasbela District after being elected as unopposed Nazim of District Lasbela. On his first visit to the school he was astonished to see such an institution in the District and he promised on his first visit to the school, to do every thing for the uplift of the institution. The Honorable Jam Mir Kamal khan Allaini has kept his promise by providing us a new Science Laboratory Building worth about eight Lakhs and Two Pentium 4 Computer Sets.
It is in the tenure of this Honorable gentleman that His Excellency the Governor Balochistan and the most loved personality of the district The Chief Minister Jam Mir Mohammed Yousaf visited the School and generously donated five Lacs for the school. This amount is being used to construct a Library and Staff Room for the Teachers.

The Honorable District Nazim has also promised to give the school other computer accessories and furniture for the school on his visit to the school at the Prize Distribution Function recently.

He has generously donated an Office Table with Chairs.
The school is the one in the District having the most modern Computer A.C. Lab with latest Computer Sets with Net working in whole of Lasbela. The induction of the Montessori class which would soon have its Split A.Cs. fitted would certainly be liked and admired by all. The children have their own children Park fitted with best slides and swings and lights.

The Annual Functions of the school are celebrated each year on the 6th September every year to mark the historical day the Defense Day of Pakistan.

These above facilities are being provided at very normal fees structure to the school children.
